— Silence is Golden. Acorns are brown (usually). "Ahaha..." Eled let out a somewhat nervous laugh as he saw that Lucia seemed genuinely keen on getting him to make something medicinal out of Mermaid scales. He wasn't sure how he'd feel about using the scales from a girl he knew personally even if it did make an effective medicine. Eled stretched out his legs as he listened to Lucia describe her home island. From what he understood, it was a tiny island full of Merfolk? "Huh. That sounds kinda nice. I've never left May Falls before, although I admit I haven't seen all of it yet." Eled rubbed his chin and wondered if he could take some time off and explore around more. Although he had been in the town for quite awhile now, he never really bothered going anywhere other than some of the other districts and occasional trips to the Guilles Forests to forage. Eled followed Lucia's directions and turned around to take a better look at Lucia's demonstration. He watched as trace amounts of water did nothing to her arm while listening to her explanation. "So light rain doesn't do anything..." He said quietly, interested at the sight. As she increased the frequency of the splashes and the amount of water, her skin began to take on a scaly pattern. Eled leaned in a little closer when Lucia extended her arm out for him to see. "Wow... That's cool!" Eled stared, fixated on the sight. His tail wagged slightly from his curiosity and excitement. Eled's attention was soon shifted away from Lucia's partial transformation as she began asking him questions. "Eh? What's it like? Well... Ummm..." Eled scratched his head wondering how to answer. "Well... I guess I'm a lot more agile and some of my senses get a lot more sensitive. It's kinda nice I guess? I do get a lot smaller and weaker, so it is kinda dangerous at times..." His run in with that pigeon from before was still fresh in his mind. "As for how I became a squirrel, all Shifters bond with an animal we touch when we reach a certain age, so in my case, I became a squirrel." He said, leaving out the fact that he didn't actually mean to be a squirrel. Well, being a squirrel wasn't so bad at least. "As for how I actually change into a squirrel, it's pretty much the same as when you saw me change back to a human. I'm not sure if you can call it magic or something else. I can show you again if you want, but I can't really talk aside from squeaking as a squirrel." |
