SHIFTER
FEMALE
TWENTY
APPEARENCE
Even though she's a rancher, Gale is quite short for her age, standing at about "5'6" as a final height, and even with heels on it only makes her an inch or so taller. She has very pale skin, but since taking on her job she's gotten a little bit tanner, which comes from being outside and working all day. Another benefit of her work is that it keeps her lean, and she's just the right weight, not stick thin but not too chubby either. Her hair is a brilliant shade of green, and she's easily seen in a crowd...even if she's trying to avoid you. She keeps her hair long in the front and shorter in the back, and she always wears her black head band in order to give her hair a little style.
She's a rather plain girl when it comes to fashion, and running a ranch, she really doesn't have time for it.So her work attire consists on a black and white striped shirt, and completely black overalls. On a day where she's not working, she might be seen in something a little more casual. Jeans and a graphic T-shirt normally depicting a saying and some sort of animal on it. Her formal attire is normally short, summery dresses, but of course not too short. Light and easy is more her style, and she'll sometimes wear extensions if the event is special enough, making her hair just a bit longer. She's pretty sensitive about her height. Calling her short stuff or short stack or any kind of variation is definitely on her list of no-nos! She will attempt to run you over with a horse cart. Seriously. Don't....do it.

HISTORY
Gale was born into a family of Ranchers. Her Great Grandparents, Grandparents, and Parents all were farmers and ranchers, so it was natural that she and her siblings would be raised in the same kind of environment. Their parents taught them the values of caring for things, living things that could move, and living things that couldn't move. Out of all the animals on the farm, Gale took a liking to a border collie puppy named Shep. She and the puppy bonded quickly and became almost inseparable. So her parents decided, that Shep would be hers even the day when she left the ranch, to possibly start her own.
She spent countless days learning new things under her mother and father's teachings. She Learned how to cook and clean, make dog food from leftover scraps of meat, something she often Refers to SACAS (Pronounced Sock-as) Steak and Chicken and Stuff. These were things taught to her by her mother. From her father and older brother, she learned how to milk cows, plunder eggs from chickens, and ride horses properly...which she mounted backward countless times before she finally learned.
Her mother also taught her how to sow seeds and reap the rewards when the harvest finally came in. This is something however she still has a problem with because she was born with more of a hand for animals than crops. She tries though, and even if her crops aren't amazing, they're good enough to sell, at the very least. it's something she still tries hard to work on.
However, living with four brothers isn't always the best thing for a little girl. She learned how to roughhouse, and with her constant being picked on by her brothers, even if it was harmless, gave her a very short fuse when it comes to attitude. She's quite the pleasant person...until of course you piss her off. Then you might want to make a run for it. And her brothers also taught her how to be completely reckless. One night when she was ten, they took the horse cart for a joyride and ended up at the bottom of the hill, in a lake. Of course they were punished since the horse had broken its leg.
Though she didn't know she was a Shifter, until the day she burned herself with an iron pitchfork. She had just been mucking out the stalls, turned eighteen maybe the week before. She placed the pitchfork at her side, and the tips brushed her leg. The pain was so intense she backed up into Shep, who had been just behind her. The next instant she opened her eyes, she noticed she had paws instead of human hands. She rushed to her parents, who were able to get her to change back, and then, they explained every once in a while, her family was gifted with a shifter, and that her brother was one as well. So she learned she could turn into a dog on her own free will. And that when she got overly angry, or too excited, her ears and tail would appear, even when she was in human form. It was skill she decided, was good for herding cows....or causing trouble.
Growing older, it was quite apparent that the girl was pretty oblivious to relationships, normally so focused on work that she forgets people even go on dates. So, she's only had one boyfriend, who subsequently broke up with her because she was too married to her work. When she turned twenty, she decided it was time to move, and start off on her own ranch. So together, she and Shep traveled to May Falls.
